I graduated from the University of Virginia in the spring class of 2024 with a degree in Human Biology. Human Biology is part of the distinguished majors program and required me to study across a variety of disciplines. From genetics and anatomy to religious and medical ethics, I learned about interplay between biology and society. I am hard working and motivated in professional and academic settings, but my biggest asset has been my ability to adapt to new environments and learn new skills quickly. Through my participation in clinical research and various shadowing opportunities I have learned how to compassionately and effectively communicate with patients and become familiar with a variety of lab techniques. I plan on applying to medical school in May this year in order to begin school in September 2026.
I shadowed a physician and learned about the medical devices they use as well as some of the common patient diagnoses
