I started swimming in my freshman year of high school after having no prior experience in the sport. I quickly picked up the sport being a fast learner and being very attentive to my coach's advice. These skills awarded me the Rookie of the Year in swimming after the season had concluded. Since then I have made state both in my sophomore and junior swim seasons. The qualities of being a team player, always ready to accept criticism, and self-determination to better my skills all helped me to get to where I am today. These same skills can also help me tackle any challenge that is thrown my way whether it is in a job or at a university.
