Currently working on getting my bachelors degree in psychology at Merrimack college with plans to further my education after I receive my undergraduate degree. Skilled and experienced in classroom settings, as well as group homes / units. Dependable child-care professional, with experience in fostering a supportive, and safe environment for children. Strong ability to collaborate with other staff, and work as a team. Dedicated to promoting positive development so children can thrive in any environment they find themselves in.
Properly guide and support the kids on the Glen Forest unit at St. Ann’s throughout their day. This includes making / helping kids with breakfast, lunch, and dinner (snacks in between), taking kids to school, as well as helping them complete their homework / any other potential school work. Additionally, making sure the kids on the unit were all accounted for and properly transitioned into their nightly routine after dinner, homework, and some tv time is how the day shifts end, leading into the overnight shift. Staff and I remain awake overnight to ensure the safety of the kids on the unit until it is time for school the next morning. (weekends they sleep in)
Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment on the unit was my biggest priority,
