I am a seasoned, “hands on trained”, old school taught high energy member that is experienced in all aspects of facility operation and maintenance, design, construction and repair of all equipment, proper function & operation of both single & multi storied facilities from commercial, hospital & research industries. Extensive training & responsible for the continuing function of programmed automated building controls, electrical, electronic, pneumatics, hydraulics, both high and low steam pressure systems, refrigeration, plumbing, medical gas systems and BL3 & BL3+ bio hazard labs, containment, HVAC & exhaust systems. Years of hands on training of welding, fabrication using all forms of metals and endless design capabilities. I have extensive knowledge of fire safety, required staff training and certification, life safety and bio hazard response, containment and removal. I’ve gained a broad knowledge of fire & life safety on both wet & dry suppression systems. I’ve attended a large list of completed certifications and training of PLC, AC/DC motors, variable drive controls & electronic systems monitoring systems. I can include a resourceful knowledge on various processing equipment, sterilizers & autoclaves.

Maintenance Mechanic I / Research – IRC

  • Job duties include but not limited to all facility equipment operation &/or repair of25 story state of the art animal research facility
  • This includes all day to day operations of complete facility, labs, process equipment & exhaust and HVAC systems
  • This includes BL3 & BL3+ labs, air locks, lab hoods, biological safety cabinets (BSC), sterilizers & autoclaves
  • Trained and responsible for daily operation of55 (5 hp-50 hp) high velocity exhaust fans, variable drive systems & rapid area decontamination
  • Factory trained to monitor, troubleshoot, repair & maintain control components thru full time, real time data collection of Johnson Control Medisys building automation monitoring systems
  • Duties also consisted of team assistance in preventive maintenance program, troubleshooting & repair of worlds largest high pressure steam sterilizers (14 total) & multiple lab & process steam sterilizers & autoclaves
  • Responsible for maintaining animal watering system, RODI water systems, daily testing, monitoring, troubleshooting & repair of high pressure filtration & delivery systems
  • Before moving to the IRC facility I held lead position of entire operation of5 story research lab facility adjacent to IRC
  • This included maintaining all medical gas, medical vacuum systems
  • I maintained HEPA filtration system, glycol pumps, valves, control & monitoring systems
  • Performed, documented & reported preventive maintenance data of entire facility equipment
