I'm the third generation in my family to come up in the masonry trade. It has taught me the values of applying myself, being on time, thinking ahead, and making every movement count. I can teach people what it takes to succeed in the construction trades, and I know the attributes they are looking for in a worker.
I ran and overlooked all daily activities related to earthworks, utilities, and environmental. I worked closely with subs, and was in charge of all self-performing tasks. I directly delegated a crew that consisted of 20 laborers and 6 operators. I maintained all haul routes, which were 44 miles of road in the city of Wasco and the surrounding county areas (maintenance, repair, and traffic control). I addressed all environmental compliance issues as far as SWPPP, and biology. Installed all temporary and permanent B.M.P.s. I installed RCPs, CMPs, both encased in concrete and earth backfill, 1000's of feet of HDPE pipe. Installed miles of fencing, both chain-link and wildlife exclusion.
Several drain inlets, over side drains, manholes, miles of erosion matting, and I was in charge of backfilling most structures. On top of everything, I kept daily logs of all activities and attendance of all subs and self-performing crews. I did all the time cards for my 26-man crew. I scheduled work and trucking, ordered materials and tools needed, managed trash, recyclables, and concrete washout pickup, and made sure all equipment was maintained.
I was lead hoddie, I made the mud and ran the ground making sure all crews had the material needed to perform the work. Oversaw and built and tore down all scaffolding, stocked block, tended masons, made cuts, dropped steal (rebar), grouted walls, clean up ect. I had to be five steps ahead of the crews and make sure production didn't stop.
I worked in all phases of solar farm construction, including mobilization, and demobilization.
Operated pile drivers, installed torque tubes, motors, brackets, and solar panels.
Unloaded trucks and staged materials for installation. Oversaw and coordinated material deliveries.
I've had a lot of hands-on experience over the years with different situations that have taught me to plan the work accordingly, and work the plan safely and effectively
