Performed various assembly tasks for assembling airport rescue firetrucks such as: drilling and tapping holes for bolting pieces together, modifying premade parts to fit better through sanding and cutting of metal, plastic, or fiberglass components, and installation of these components throughout the interior and exterior of the truck cab. I gained experience with glass installation and use of Sika adhesives, especially with using Sika to neatly backfill around holes, certain brackets and panels, and all windows on the cab. Lastly I did a great amount of electrical wiring relating to cab doors, windows, lighting, sirens, communications, and additional components within the cab. This involved routing and installing some premade harnesses, but also modifying these harnesses and adding additional wiring inside the cab. I am well experienced with Super Seal and Deutsh type fittings, splicing, wrapping with heatshrink, and covering wires with protective loom.

I worked on a wide variety of custom cabinet projects, some remodeling, some new construction, some add-on cabinetry, but with a wide variety of styles and finishes. I spent 3 years as one of a two person install crew, with plenty of time spent assembling cabinets, sanding parts to be finished, and unloading deliveries of lumber and wood products by forklift. I worked in the field leveling and fastening cabinets, and attaching parts like scribe ends, finished panels, doors and drawer fronts, and hardware like handles, insert hardware, and even small scale wiring for add-on lighting. After that I began training for the primary machining job, to take over for a retiree. This involved laying out specific cabinets of a very custom design, cutting melamine and MDF sheet goods for cabinet parts using a cut list, building face frames out of solid lumber using a layout sketch, and building numerous other kitchen related parts to be sanded and finished My work involved lots of power tools: corded saws, belt sanders, measuring tools, miter saws, and pneumatic tools for field work, larger shop tools such as table saws, chop saws, edge banding machines, wide belt sanders, jointers, planers, and more.

• Performed more finished carpentry installation, primarily involving laminated products and Corian.
• Performed some work with drywall renovation, taping and sanding walls.
• Installed exterior composite wood (Azek) as base and chair rail material.
• Installed painted and stained wood trim, including touch up on the finish.

• Gained experience in rough carpentry framing apartments.
• Operated multiple varieties of tools such as: framing nail guns, coiled drywall nail guns, hanger nail guns, circular saws, reciprocating saws, miter saws, hammer drills.
• Worked on different aspects of the building process such as: building stairs, performing unit punch list, setting and straightening walls, assembling floor trusses, and setting windows and doors.
• Worked extensively from boom lifts, hanging Tyvek wrap on the exterior of the building.

• Read and interpreted blueprints and construction documents to determine project directives.
• Worked various grades and sizes of jobs, from small renovations to large-scale new construction.
• Specialized in installing finished architectural woodwork, such as laminated and wood paneling, wood trim, casework, counter tops, die walls, booths and benches, and various types of shelving.
• Performed some jobs involving solid surface materials, like Corian and artificial stone, typically as counter tops and windowsills.
• Worked with side aspects of the job: loading and unloading material, cleaning and prepping the work area, caulking, and staining, repairing, and cleaning installed products.
• Performed work with numerous power tools, including: circular saws, finish nail guns, table saws, miter saws, jig saws, hammer drills, drills and impact drivers, and routers.

• Continued work with finished woodwork, installing similar products: casework, wood trim, paneling, various shelving, decorative metal trim.
• Performed more installation work involving solid surface material like Corian and artificial stone products used in counter tops and windowsills.
• Traveled to work out of state for multiple weeks at a time.
• Also worked overnight hours for an extended period on retail store remodel.
