Work History

Supervisor/Admin Service Coordinator

Dabico
Phoenix, AZ
12.2013 - Current
  • My employer is a subcontractor for American Airlines at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, AZ. We are responsible for the air conditioning for the Passenger Boarding Bridge and the Aircraft when it is docked at the gate. We have 47 gates and two Chiller Plants we are responsible for. My job, as a supervisor and coordinator, is to make sure all monthly PMs are done and daily inspections of the Chiller Plants are completed. I am responsible for ensuring that the daily operations do not cause any delays to flights, which can cost the Airlines a great deal of money. There are PC Air units mounted under the bridge that we inspect. I previously worked for 9 years on site at the airport, but left in September 2022 to move back to Norfolk, Virginia to help take care of my mother-in-law. It was 5 months later when my company contacted me to come back to the company and work remotely from Norfolk. So, I basically went back to the same job. I have two coworkers in Phoenix that I coordinate daily tasks that need to be completed. If they are having issues with a unit, they contact me, and I help them resolve the issue to get the AC back up and running. If we have chiller issues, where they go down, they will contact me, and together we will try to get the chillers running again. I work with multiple subcontractors for the chillers, as well as all the circulating pumps associated with them. I contact them and get them scheduled to resolve issues that we cannot. They send me quotes for work that needs to be done, which I sign off on, and send back to them. I communicate on a daily basis with American Airlines regarding any issues we are having. We also discuss future projects that are coming up that need to be looked at, so there are no issues when the project begins. When work needs to be done or has been done, I send American Airlines a quote stating that this work needs to be completed or has already been completed, with a cost for that job. They will then approve that and send it back to me, so I can process it further. At the end of the month, I send off an Excel spreadsheet of all work completed for the month. This form shows how much each job American Airlines will pay. It also shows the profit my company made on that job. This form shows exactly what the job was, on which piece of equipment, and when it was completed. This is sent to my team and shows which jobs need to be invoiced to American Airlines and sent to them for payment. I then work with the American Airlines Manager to go over each job, so they fully understand what the work was for. I log every piece of equipment for work that was done. I also coordinate with our parts department on keeping our parts inventory where we need it for daily operations.
