SPC Odom n greatly contributed to the mission of 4-5 ADA BN Supply Support Activity in the initial setup. He ran countless missions to the flight line picking up over 3,000 parts that accumulated in 1.2 million dollars that were backlogged upon arrival to Prince Sultan Air Base. He established turn in procedures at TMO Air Force which lead to sustained logistic operation. SPC Odom attention to detail, competence, professionalism and take charge attitude helped the Supply Support Activity establish deployment operations austere environment.
SPC Odom had a vital role in assuring the Supply Support Activity 24 hour operations for receiving the large shipment of parts from Kuwait was a success. SPC Odom processed over 358 parts in a two day span that issued out to all customers across the Battalion. SPC Odom also ensured that all parts were correctly put into all customer bins allowing for critical parts to be received by the gaining unit. SPC Odom fine work and dedication impacted the overall success of the mission of the Supply Support Activity and 4-5 Battalion.
SPC Odom was crucial in the deployment, occupation, and operations of the 4th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment in then Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His determination, technical and tactical proficiency of multiple operations allowed for then successful operations within four Patriot firing units, one remote launch site, six Sentinel sites, a THAAD Battery and one Missile Defense Battery in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. SPC Odom significantly influenced Joint and Coalition partners in KSA and th entire CENTCOM AOR by working with higher echelon units to further develop and refine key theater documents and defense architecture. His vital role in the operation allowed for defense of key geopolitical assets from air and missile attacks; facilitating freedom of action for Saudi national and Joint US forces throughout the country. SPC Odom unsurpassed knowledge and discipline to uphold daily operating standards allowed for accelerated response times during instances of imminent danger to KSA and American Solders. These actions were an integral part of the establishment of a new footprint in KSA.
PV2 Odom performed admirably during the Brigade Mission Readiness Exercise. He provided direct support for the Service Company Supply Support Activity by deploying a fully oeprational Forward Issue Turn In Point and the critical 35. Despite working countless hours and being sleep deprived he issued over 400 parts to four Patriot Batteries, turned in 150 parts, and issued eight temp loans. He executed 15 Logistical Packs to the Rear Detachment SSA to provide class 9 support to over 25 customers.
