Instructions

  • Log in to Online Services at https://www.colorado.gov/dora/licensing
  • Confirm you are logged in as the Contractor. You should see your company name at the top. If you see your own name, you are in the wrong account.
  • Scroll down to 'General Activities'
  • Click 5th option 'Add/Remove Apprentices'
  • Click 'Start'
  • Currently active apprentices are displayed on Page 1. Click next to move on.
  • To add apprentices, click Add button. If you only need to remove apprentices, you can click Next and skip to step 13.
  • This will bring up a search. Enter only the numbers of the apprentice license and click Search. (For example, if the apprentice number is APE.0123456, only put in 123456) You can search by name, but it is easiest to find the correct person if you use only the numbers.
  • Verify that all information is correct and click Add
  • The only information you should change is the start date to show the date the apprentice started working with the company. (Please note: The date field is finicky and will only edit by using the arrow keys and typing over the wrong numbers). Click OK to finish.
  • Repeat steps 6-10 for any additional apprentices.
  • When you are done adding apprentices, Click next.
  • This is where you remove any apprentices that are no longer working with your company. To remove an apprentice, click on the pen and paper icon next to the apprentice you would like to remove. If there are no apprentices to remove, click Next.
  • The Association status will automatically be set to Inactive. Click OK to confirm removal.
  • The apprentice to be removed will then show as Inactive. When you are done removing apprentices, click Next.
  • Enter in your full name to verify that the action you are taking is on behalf of the company.
  • This page is a review of everything you have done. The actions are separated by the pages you clicked through. Make sure to scroll all the way down to verify the information is correct.
  • When you have verified all information is correct, you may click Proceed to Payment. The apprentice is not active until payment has been made.
  • Click Pay Invoice to enter in payment information for the Supervision Fee.

Apprentice Registration Process

Apprentice creates personal account in Online Services, Apprentice applies for license and gives number to employer, Contractor gets apprentice number from apprentice and completes registration under company account, Apprentice gives license number to employer (Expired or Cancelled licenses will reactivate upon payment of supervision fee), Contractor gets apprentice number from apprentice and completes registration under company account
