Directional Driller

  • Started locating here after first month in and have used the Mag 8 and F5 locators. Comfortable with operating the vermeer 10x15 drill and have used vermeer 20x22 a handful of times.
  • Have been crew lead since my 3rd month here, and after 6 months became foreman with my own crew.
  • Experience in locating and spotting utilities, digging in hard ground conditions for spotting utilities, getting pipe set up to be pulled with sock and swivel, and also pulling in material. (power lines, .875, .625, 48 count and 24 count fiber)
  • Open trenching experience. (Hand dig, and escavation)
  • Monitored employee safety and coached workers on safety standards and procedures to prevent injuries.
  • Trained and supervised all site personnel.
  • Ran the VX50 vermeer vac trailer, excavators, and high lows at this company as well.

  • Gained valuable experience working on diverse projects such as highways, local streets, parking lots, resulting in versatile industry knowledge.
  • Worked in the yard for two seasons, and obtained CDL during my second season, which consisted of mostly warehouse work. Loading and unloading materials and equipment for crews, unloading material off of semis with a high low, run trucks and material out to crews on the road, and loading the pull barns with material in an organized fashion.
  • Third season I got put on the road where I became an operator and learned how to use various pieces of equipment such as Striper driver/operator, grinder truck driver/operator, SCB's and shot blasters, laser liners, kelly-creswell painting machines, skid steer, tape machines for removal and application, and moffetts.
  • Conducted necessary maintenance on construction equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Worked mostly with traffic switches, setting up and breaking down lane closures, paint removal/application, and setting up road signs.
