After a passionate and diverse career over 44 years including 20 years in agriculture and 21 years of business ownership I retired. The last two years has not been what I thought it would be. I'm looking forward to rejoining the workforce and very much appreciate the opportunity. In the spring 1999 I made a decision to take over the family business due to circumstances beyond my control. I owned and operated the business for 21 years before closing at the end of 2020. Was responsible for all aspects including customer relations, estimates, accounting, inventory as well as well as overseeing installation crews. Also involved forklifts and warehousing.
Hired to assist in construction of a new manufacturing and distribution facility for ornamental turf care, ie. (Golf courses and sports fields). Duties included purchasing and overseeing installation of equipment well as setting up operational procedures for production and accounting. Project included two warehouses and several fork lifts.
Operated and maintained a chemical reactor for liquid fertilizer production. Duties included all aspects of safety for start up, operation, and shut down procedures. In 1980 was promoted to plant supervisor. This job also evolved metal fabrication and welding skills, and operation of heavy equipment.
