  • As part of my responsibilities at INTEGRIS Health Language Services, I am currently overseeing 8 sub-contracts for language services providers. These include Language Associates, AMN Healthcare, Multilingual Services, Language Line Solutions, SLRS ASL, TSHA ASL, and ALTA Testing Services. Some of these services include in-person interpretation, OPI, VRI, translations, and specialized solutions for deaf, blind, and non-verbal LEP patients. Also, responsible of vendor contracts, and invoicing process for each vendor
  • To ensure that our employees stay updated on the latest developments in our language services, I have created an Internal Language Services Source Page. This page provides our employees with up-to-date information on new language service providers, innovative solutions, and contact information to access these services immediately without delaying hospital or clinic operations.
  • Responsible for processing all equipment orders for language services, deployment coordination and maintaining all VRI systems.
  • In charge of all Internal Language Service related Policies elaboration
  • Currently overseeing languages translations such as vital, surgical, consents, educational materials, hospitals and clinics signage, among others.
  • Developed the most recent health stream bilingual qualification program for all employees of INTEGRIS Health.

  • I had the privilege of supervising a team of 12 certified medical Spanish interpreters who worked in-house.
  • My responsibilities included coordinating Audio and Video Interpretation services, including sign language services, as well as overseeing interpreters' performance, department schedules, and payroll functions.
  • I was also in charge of Corporate Wide Translations, which included educational and work-related Patient Education fact sheets, Patient Consents, interpretation policies, and OU Health Science Center research projects.
  • Created the Interpretive Services module and certification system for all Spanish-speaking employees of our facilities. This initiative promoted best practices for patient safety, ensuring that patients could receive the highest quality of care regardless of language barriers.
  • As part of my efforts to improve language services, I obtained budgeting and program management responsibility for deploying an advanced mobile and distributed communications system called My Accessible Real-time Trusted Interpreter (MARTTI). This was the first VRI system install in the State of Oklahoma. This groundbreaking technology optimized the quality of language services delivered for all 150 languages, including multiple dialects. Within a year, OUMC saw a 1.5% increase in international patient care clients. Finally, I developed training for 600 staff members on the advanced video interpretation system to ensure that they were equipped to deliver the highest quality of care to all patients.
