  • As a Travel Escort i was provided with my itinerary and minors information where i was in charge of checking in with the airline and getting our seats and boarding passes
  • I had to report to the shelter at various times for most part two or three hours before our flight and had to verify the minors documents (Verification of Release), sponsors identification and information
  • introduced myself with the minor; ask the minor for their complete name, date of birth, who were they going with and to where we were flying to; and explain the flight process
  • communicate with sponsor via text message; introducing myself providing the time of arrival and where we would meet at the airport to reunify
  • communicating with sponsor if there were any delays and/or cancelations
  • Supervised minor at all times; during transportation from the facility to the airport making sure they wore their seatbelts; inside the airports until reunified with their sponsor
  • Made sure minor wore seatbelt in the airplanes
