- Observed and participated in Field work activities to include exploration and identification of Minerals, fossils and formations under the guidance and direction of Dr. Katalina Salas, Dr. Judith Hoyt, and guest speaker Dr. Marianne Karplus. Locations included both Texas and New Mexico sites.
- In my term I was also introduced to the UTEP Seismology and Hydrology lab where staff provided lectures on how seismology devices function and when they are utilized, in the Hydrology lab we were exposed to water sample studies and water sources were also explained and discussed in depth. participated in PH testing activities, this required identifying levels and properties found in said samples.
- Participated in Salt Flats, NM area visual assessment to observe, discuss and document results of environmental changes.
