- Performed full disassembly of reciprocating engines in accordance with proper manual. (GTSIO-520, TSIO-520, TSIO 550, IO-520, IO-550).
- De-plugged, washed and measured crankshaft for inspection. ( If crankshaft was within limits journals would get polished; crankshaft was then sent to balance shop for inspection and NDT.)
- Gears would get washed and media blasted for inspection. (If within limits and no damage was found they would get sent to get NDT.)
- Crankcase would get washed and measured for inspection. (Data tag would get taken off and proceed to stay with proper paperwork until assembly was performed.)
- Tagged accessories and would send them to accessory shop for them to be cleaned and inspected.
- Connecting rods, rocker arms, and counterweights would get 'de-bushed', rinsed off and glass blasted, proceeding to NDT. (counterweights would get media blasted.)
- "Return-to-service" kit consisted of; intakes; balance tube, magneto pads (would get de-bushed), oil pan, nose plate seals and engine mounts. These wold get media blasted, worked and washed so that the components could get NDT.
