Daniela I. Mendez

Intern at two primary care family clinics as a part of the Primary Care Behavioral Health program. In the community clinics, we function as Behavioral Health Consultants (BHC) and see patients for various physical and mental concerns. As BHCs, we work as a team with physicians to manage a caseload of over 10 patients per day. Our common goal is to assist patients with depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, medication adherence, chronic pain, disease management, smoke cessation, and other behavioral concerns. We work as a team with other providers to help bridge the mental and physical health gap.
