This letter is respectfully presented by me, Mrs. Daniele Moreira.

I graduated in Speech – Language Pathology in 2001.

Why did I choose Speech – Language Pathology as a profession? Because I have always had the dream of positively impacting people's lives. The possibility of working with human communication disorders has always motivated me since we all need to connect with the world around us and this is primarily done through language; be it spoken, written, gestural, through facial expressions, arts, among others. Through language, we connect with each other, we make our thoughts and feelings known. If I could choose one aspect of our behavior that really makes us different from other species, I would certainly say language.

The American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) defines language as “a complex and dynamic system of symbols used in different ways for thinking and communicating”.

It was then that I found my life goal in this profession!

In December 2001, I finished my bachelor's degree in Speech – Language Pathology and Audiology at Centro Universitário São Camilo, São Paulo – Brazil. I also submitted the Credential Assessment Report and the translation of this diploma from GEO Credential Services, which states: “Daniele has the U.S. equivalent of the Bachelor’s Degree in Speech -Language Pathology and Audiology awarded by regionally accredited colleges and universities in the United States.”

In 2002, I completed my first postgraduate course: Improvement in Speech – Language Pathology and Audiology in Childhood Psychiatric Disorders, at the Hospital das Clínicas of the School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo – FMUSP.

In 2008, when I was preparing myself to better perform my work, I completed my second postgraduate course: Improvement in Language, Learning, and Neurosciences at CEFAC.

I'm looking for a job opportunity where I can contribute with my skills acquired over the years.
