• 20 Bed Child and Adolescent Psychiatric inpatient unit
• Application of Mentalization-Based Therapy for Adolescents (MBT-A) and Families (MBT-F).
• Therapeutic Assessment diagrams on select cases.
• Close working relationship with nursing , social work, occupational therapy, therapeutic recreation, psychologists, family therapy. Communicated with them throughout the day while tending to his caseload.
• Communicated daily with parents by phone, in-person after family therapy, and when they came for visiting hours.
• Explained in his discharge summary under "Hospital Course", a narrative of what was achieved during hospitalization.
• Prescribed medications following AACAP Clinical Guidelines. He was often able to simplify medication regimens while using an integrated treatment approach.

Adolescent Acute Stabilization Program. Eight bed partial hospital as an immediate transition from inpatient hospitalization for patients he discharged. He also received direct referrals from outpatient therapists and child psychiatrists.

• Taught resident physicians from the Hennepin Healthcare Residency Program. Also, medical students, APRN students, Pharm. D residents. Their experience was impactful as they accompanied him throughout the workday. They helped to interview, discussed cases, interacted with staff and parents during their one month rotations.
• Taught pre-doctoral interns and post-doctoral fellows in the Allina Psychology Training Program.

• Attending physician for children and adolescents in a partial hospitalization setting while they received ERP for OCD and Social Anxiety Disorder.
• This was part-time work, permitted by his employer in order to assist with opening their program locally.
• Collaborated with the therapy staff to facilitate ERP, while trying to problem-solve around any barriers.
• Optimized medication regimens to improve clinical outcomes.

• Selected by his peers to serve the Medical Staff for four consecutive 2 year terms. This included collaboration with other departments. Directed Peer Review for quality improvement.

In addition to working full-time at the Vera French Mental Health Center, he worked along with three colleagues covering a Ten Bed Child and Adolescent Psychiatric unit.

• He managed an outpatient caseload of approximately 500 patients in a community mental health center setting.
• He was also assigned to work one day a month at an EAP for a major company; two afternoons a month at a residential treatment facility for adolescents; and two afternoons a month at a private, psychologist-owned private practice.
