Selected for UTSA’s competitive Data Science & AI Community Innovation Scholars Program, a 10-week paid internship in partnership with United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County. Working directly with local nonprofits to harness data science and AI for meaningful community impact.

Contributed to a data equity research project focused on identifying geographic and sociodemographic disparities in access to 211 services across the Alamo Region.

• Cleaned and analyzed multi-year 211 call data, alongside ZIP-level indicators, using Python (pandas, geopandas, seaborn, matplotlib) to assess community needs and caller patterns.
• Applied statistical and spatial methods, including Spearman correlation, bivariate choropleth mapping, and LISA cluster analysis, to evaluate the alignment between economic hardship and service usage.
• Created an interactive Tableau dashboard, and authored a formal report summarizing key findings and recommendations for targeted outreach.
• Presented results at a final showcase attended by United Way staff, community partners, and the CEO, highlighting data-informed insights to support strategic planning.
