• Work with children of varying age, interest, skill, and developmental levels.
• Lead groups of children safely through variety of camp activities.
• Collaborate with other camp counselors to design fun and enriching learning activities for campers.
• Greet new arrivals to camp by introducing to other participants, explaining facility rules and encouraging participation.
• Collaborate with camp staff to develop and execute safe, exciting plans for daily and weekly activities.
• Work within car pool lines to ensure that campers were safely returned to parents/caregivers in a structured & organized manner

•. Serve as a representative of the University, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the Rice community
• Create weekly or daily schedules taking into account children’s age groups and interests
• Lead recreational and educational activities (such as swimming, recreational sports or crafting)
• Care for and oversee children
• Work with kids through Spanish language barriers
• Educate campers through games and art
• Assist other counselors and directors with supervision and organization during lunch breaks
• Resolve occasional fights between children and address behavioral issues
• Make sure all safety rules are followed throughout physical activities
• Preforming other duties requested by the summer director
