Dynamic and organized individual with a positive attitude, experienced in teamwork and collaboration through volunteer roles at Friends and Family Non-profit and Baby Grace. Proven problem-solving skills while tutoring at Fort Osage School District, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. Committed to making a meaningful impact in community service and education.
The Non-profit organization I work for donates time at many venues that provide entertainment in the community, including Cable Dahmer Arena, GEHA Field at Arrowhead, Kauffman Stadium, T-Mobile Center, and CPKC Stadium. Our group staffs the concessions or retail stands at events held at the venue.
When family members go out some nights, I watch my little cousins and make sure they are well taken care of. We play video games, play with baby dolls, watch movies, just anything to have fun and get their minds off their parents. I change diapers, cook them food, and sometimes give them baths.
My senior year of high school I was an A+ tutor at our districts middle school. I was in a sixth grade science and social studies classroom. I was able to help direct students with a big research project over Ancient Egypt. I helped them pick the perfect book and website for their topic. I also helped students who struggled with reading.
I was apart of Student Council my junior and senior year of high school. I collaborated with my peers to organize school events, enhancing community engagement and participation. I was the head of royalty committee putting on the crowning of king and queen. I assisted in developing promotional materials for events including Freshman Orientation, Conferences, Homecoming, Courtwarming and Prom. I participated in meetings to discuss school policies, contributing insights from the student body perspective.
When I was in high school, I did volunteer work with my cheer team at Baby Grace in Buckner, MO. We spent many hours putting together bags of all baby necessities including clothes, shoes, bottles, blankets, toys, etc., all based on size and gender.
