  • • Greet, welcome, and direct all patients, visitors, and Healthcare professionals; answering telephone calls and checking voicemails, retrieve and process faxed and handle correspondence
    • Coordinate referrals, build charts, verify insurance and prior authorization requirements, and submitting for prior authorization when needed. Then call patients to schedule them and answer any questions I can to help them because new patients being introduced to overnight sleep studies and tend to, understandably, have anxiety and i try to make them feel as prepared and comfortable as I can so they can get through it and start the treatment.
    • Direct patient flow from screening and diagnostic testing through therapeutic interventions and handle any logistical matters that directly affect patient care; instruct and educate patients on clinical protocols and testing procedures to help make their experience as painless as possible with no surprises, obtaining informed consents for recommended procedures.
    • Track scoring and interpretation of test results to ensure that sleep studies are reviewed in a timely manner.
    • Forward test results and referral progress notes to Referring Providers as I update that patient's PHI Chart and communicates with Referring Physicians and any other care professionals working on the patient's case to ensure the best continuity and benefits care for the patient.
    • Conducts set up of PAP Devices and accessories. Performs pre delivery pressure check at prescribed setting with pressure Manometer, fit and adjust mask/headgear, instructs patients on proper use and operations of the PAP device and accessories by demonstrating the operations. Then having them operate the PAP Device to help familiarize them to the device so it's not as intimidating or overwhelming. Helping them get the best PAP Therapy and makes it as easy as possible for them to meet their insurance compliance requirements.
    • Execute accurate data entry processes to ensure the integrity of information systems.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
    • Manage inventory levels to optimize supply availability and minimize excess stock.
    • Track and order all supplies in the office such as stationary/office supplies, cleaning supplies, and DME.
    • Streamlineoffice administration tasks to increase efficiency and support business operations.
    • AUDIT patient charts and update as necessary. As well as preparing Quarterly Compliance Reports and Quality Assurance Surveys every 3 months and sending them to the Company Compliance Officer.
    • Verify patients insurance eligibility and benefits as well as obtaining prior authorizations as needed. As well as tracking the required Patient Compliance of DME to send to their insurance for RTP CPAP and DME Resupply prior authorizations.
    • Prepare patient charts/fee estimates for upcoming sleep study appointments scheduled and explaining the process to the patients prior to the appointment.
    • Schedule sleep studies, sleep consults, and post sleep follow ups for all patients. If the patient requires Pap Therapy, I schedule them to come in to be fitted for a mask, introduce them to the machine, and run through how to work it. Then explain the fee estimate and insurance requirements to ensure their insurance pays for the majority of the fees.
    • Schedule Pap Therapy follow ups with the Sleep Specialists, track patient CPAP Compliance monthly and track prior authorization expiration dates until the cost of the machine is met (making sure all invoices are billable to their insurance) and making sure all patients are compliant and benefitting from Pap Therapy.
    • Upload scored and interpreted sleep studies acquisitioned to me, reading those results to the patient, explaining what to expect next on the process and the schedule them according.
    • Invoicing all services provided by my office such as Home Sleep Studies, In-lab Sleep Studies, Pap Rentals, and the resupply DME for existing patients.
    • Submit quarterly compliance reports on everything in the office to the Compliance Officer every three months consisting of the Patient Chart Audits, Diagnostic Equipment, Office Safety Compliance and Office Saftey Drills, and all Patient Surveys/Feedback.
