Danielle Donis

I am the first person to attend college and plan on going into military service in my family. I am a dedicated and honorable student who plans to make the most out of every opportunity given to me. Aspiring to become a pilot in the military with a passion that lies in helping people and making a positive impact on their lives. Envisioning each day at work as a reflection of my efforts and an opportunity to influence more than just myself.

• Rowing (2022-2023) Coxswain in training and Rower
• Physical Training team(2022-2023) Only female representation for our JROTC PT team, we received first place at Sickles PT competition
• Push Up Squad(2022-2023) I am the only female representation on our JROTC push-up spirit squad, the team performed 100-200 pushups in intervals per game. This team brings support to our school during football games while also bringing recognition to our program.
• Children's Ministry Assistant (2023-2024) I help manage elementary students on sundays during church service. I assist an adult lead ensuring students are behaving and interacting. I do my best to make a safe welcoming environment for them while passing on the word of god.
• Church Crew Assistance(2023) I assist in tear down after church where we remove the set up and tables from rented areas, I am also currently volunteered and undergoing the paperwork to assist teaching the children's ministry.
• Drill: Co-lead received 2022 (2020-2023) Preformed for drill competitions against other high schools
• Marksmanship:Co-Team Lead received 2021-2022 (2020-2023)
• Color Guard(2022-2023) Cadets hold performances during school games, big events, and community service events. Positions held as a member include, American, State, School flag, and Rifle.
• Chess Club(2022-2023) Assisted with clean up, supplying snacks, and organizing boards
• La Sarasota service club(2021-2023) Assisted teachers with class preparation and decoration during the school year
• Marine Biology Club(2022-2023) Ran stands to help fundraising during the year
• Fundraising Team:Event lead received 2021-2022 (2020-2023)I managed money, set up, tear down, and I was in charge of each cadet participating. We would do push-ups or face paint to raise money for our program during football games.
• Kitty Hawk Honors Society: "Big sister"/partner leader received 2022 (2021-2023)The equivalent to the National Honors Society for AFJROTC. Recognized cadets with excelling academics, integrity, and character.
• Code quest:Co-team lead received 2022(2020-2023)Co-team Students actively solved given problems with code, primarily used Python. Competitions were held each year at Lockheed Martin
• Cyber Quest:Team lead received 2021 (2020-2023)Similar to Code Quest but instead mainly focused on defending against hacking and spyware. Students actively solved given problems and competitions were held each year at Lockheed Martin where our teams would compete against several schools

• JROTC Leadership Academic Bowl Students of high academic excellence participated as a team in a series of competitions that focused on math, science, reading, and current events.
• National Honors Society Recognizes students with a 3.7 or higher, community participation, school involvement, and stellar academics.

• Congressional Nomination- Awarded by Kathy Castor, I received a nomination to attend the United States Naval Academy
• National Ribbon- Awarded for qualifying to shoot nationally for AFJROTC.
• National Aircommando Associates Award (2021) Outstanding performance and significant contributions to the JROTC unit.
• National JROTC American Legion general military excellence award (2023) Top 25 percent of the class in academic and ROTC subjects and must have demonstrated outstanding qualities in military leadership, discipline, character, and citizenship.
• National Military Officer Association Award (2022) recognized as an outstanding cadet who is in their next-to-last year in the Program and who has demonstrated exceptional potential for military leadership.

• Panther Prowl: Organized a school event, helped set up decorations, and assisted parents/teachers in moving equipment.
• Hot Cocoa Run: Helped organize hot cocoa bowls and snack baskets for runners. During each run after finishing the lap runners would come to the tent to receive their goody basket full of coco and candy made by a chain of students pouring coco and organizing snacks. I would help make the bowls and collect the runner's tickets while handing them their bowls.
• Revillie and retreat(x36): School mornings and afternoons 3 cadets and I would post the American and Florida state flags. In the afternoon we would retire each of the flags.
• Pushup squad(x5): During school games, a group of Cadets would do pushups after each score to encourage school spirit.
• St Pete Run Fest (x3): I helped organize tables and cups, and handed out water to runners. Similar to the Making Strides cancer walk, afterward I helped take down the tables and collect cups from the event.
• Cystic Fibrosis Community Service: I helped organize tables and assist people in seating. I handed out T-shirts to each person at the event and communicated information to each person during the event to make sure the presentations went smoothly.
• 911 flag planting and tear down(x6): To show respect to those who passed during 911 I helped plant flags into the front school field and afterward cadets would have a gathering for Revillie on 911 in that field. Once the day had passed we would remove and collect each flag that was planted.
• Town Hall: I helped size and hand out uniforms to new cadets. We also had a presentation to inform the parents on what to expect for their child in JROTC.
• School Inventory Organization: A group of students helped the janitors organize new school desks and carried them to designated rooms.
• Marksmanship teacher clinic: I helped organize an event for teachers to learn and practice shooting during our practice. We assisted teachers and taught them the positions and proper ways to shoot the rifles.
• Making Strides Cancer Walk: I helped organize cups for the stations handing out water. I set up the jugs and tables for the water and filled each cup. Afterward, we handed out water to the runners and refiled the cups after every few laps.
• School Clean-up Community Service: After the school games a group of students and I helped pick up trash and lost items from the bleachers. I helped each
• School Mural Painting: Painted the school floors with paw prints in the school colors, I helped supply paint and brushes to each group.
• School Garden Beautification: Planted and cleaned up the school garden. Plucked weeds and organized groups for certain tasks. Gave each student gloves and supplies for the cleaning.
• Relay for Life Overnight awareness camp(x2): Groups set up tents and part of JROTC's group set up a tent selling food and water to people to raise money for cancer. I helped retrieve supplies and set up as well as market our tent to other people.
• Teacher organization assistance: I helped teachers set up and organize materials for classes a few days before school started.
• Relay for Life St Pete run: Set up a booth selling items to raise money for cancer, explaining where the funds go, and helping people get situated for the run. The event lasted two days and I came back each day assisting in the same things.
• Award ceremony: Assisted parents with presenting and serving food, helped seat cadets, and handed out ceremony pamphlets.
• Coleman Middle school JROTC presentation: A fellow cadet and I attended Coleman showing a presentation to students who would be attending high school next year. We interacted with students answering questions and giving advice.
