Indirect Processing Supervisor

Suncoast Credit Union
05.2021 - 11.2022

Since May 2021, I have led the Indirect Processing Team at Suncoast, funding an average of 4,000 loans per month and contributing to our membership growth while supporting a team of 20 and maintaining dealer partnerships.

In 2022, we experienced unprecedented volume, leading to an increase in department staff. Although an additional Supervisor was typically hired, this was not possible at the time. Despite this challenge, I upheld the expectations set before me, meeting with my staff monthly for Dialogs and supporting them daily.

Some of my monthly responsibilities include:

  • Managing staff time, attendance, and payroll.
  • Tracking employee goals and providing monthly updates on their performance metrics.
  • Delegating workloads as needed.
  • Ensuring up to 98% of all contracts received from dealerships are funded in a timely manner.
  • Training and onboarding new staff.
  • Assisting with and correcting loan errors.
  • Handling escalated member experiences.
  • Creating and maintaining department manuals.
  • Conducting monthly meetings with staff to discuss concerns and topics.
  • Supporting staff in their professional development.

Dealer Services Liaison

Suncoast Credit Union
08.2019 - 05.2021
  • Regular dealership visits and education
  • Managing 12 counties with approximately 160 dealerships, visiting them quarterly to discuss and train on their Look to Book monthly reports, ensuring they stay close to the 33% goal, and reviewing any delinquencies from the past 18 months.
  • Providing reminders of Suncoast's buying niche for more efficient application submissions and summarizing each visit.
  • Notifying and updating dealers on any changes to the Suncoast Credit Union Indirect Program.
  • Providing feedback to management and staff on legitimate dealer concerns and business trends, keeping the credit union’s innovative spirit in mind.
  • Assisting the Director and other Liaisons with the weekly Powerbooking Log, ensuring proper calculation of additions to booked contracts and following up with dealerships on errors, including fund retrieval.
  • Performing weekly dealer maintenance as needed and following up with problematic dealers.
  • Addressing issues with dealer partners, bringing matters to management, maintaining transparency, documenting dealerships, and sometimes terminating dealership relationships.
  • Providing monthly support to the Dealer Services Team and Indirect Processing Team at month-end to assist with goals.
  • Maintaining the master dealer list and keeping my own set of dealer contacts up-to-date.
  • Facilitating round tables with presentations and slide shows for Loan Analysts regularly.
  • Planning and executing car sales alongside the CU Auto Branch, including staffing, announcements, permitting, hotel reservations, duty assignments, marketing collaboration, insurance, facilities, lunch ordering, and purchasing necessary items with a company credit card.
  • Completing post-car sale reports for senior staff review.
  • Conducting due diligence visits and proposals for dealer portfolio growth.
  • Handling calls from potential new dealer partners in new markets.
  • Bringing shadows from other departments on dealer visits to provide insight into our department.
  • Regularly updating department reports for management.
  • Managing additional projects delegated by the Dealer Services Director as needed.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact, fostering strong relationships between internal teams and external partners.
