Provide technical and studio support across the Ceramics, Glass, and Woodshop areas in the Fine Arts Building. I ensure safe, clean, organized, and fully operational facilities for students and faculty. Responsibilities include clay and glaze production, kiln and annealer operation and maintenance, equipment repairs, inventory management, material ordering, and general studio upkeep. I have also developed new technical skills, including welding, to complete custom projects and improve studio functionality. Additionally, I assist students with technical questions and projects, provide guidance within my areas of expertise, and have occasionally supported ceramics instruction in the professor’s absence.
Served as a Summer Camp Instructor at the Loper Launch Enrichment Camp at the University of Nebraska at Kearney for three years. I taught week long ceramic and mosaic courses to all ages. Designed and led age appropriate lessons, planned and prepared hands on projects, created project examples, and managed materials and class budgets. Developed strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, communication, and adapting instruction to meet the needs of young students.
Worked as a nanny for three children, ages eight, nine, and ten, on a part time basis while attending school and full time during summer and winter breaks. Responsibilities included safely transporting children to and from school and extracurricular activities, providing meals, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and providing attentive care throughout the day.
