Passion

As the Events Chair for Freeform Portland, I have spent the past 6 years creating a welcoming environment for all of our DJs, giving them support and unbridled enthusiasm as they explore themselves as creative beings while making sure I fulfill the briefs set by our community event partners. I wrangle six monthly events, ~ 24 special events yearly; create flyers and promotions; train DJs on equipment, performance and professionalism; negotiate with venues and partners; participate in year-round fundraising efforts; work with the Board on budgeting; coordinate with the rest of Leadership on station matters including EDI; lead Culture Training for new DJs; and oversee our equipment. I created training materials and led training sessions for our first participation in Give!Guide.
