Additional Information

While it may not be relevant to every project or employer, I include a transparent acknowledgement that how we tell certain stories matters deeply. I believe all survivors are the experts on their own experiences, but not everyone is well-qualified to work with survivors in a comfortable, safe way. The greatest asset I offer a production team is a regulated nervous system, along with an in-depth knowledge of how to respond if and when that changes for me or a client I am working with. High-quality production means nobody is harmed behind the scenes as well. I share this final list as a collection of experiences that make me well-versed and well-trained in working with survivors of trauma or activated colleagues.

  • Victim Assistance Academy Certification, National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) - Issued NOV 2020
  • Facilitated Original Workshop: "Male-Identifying Survivors" Professional Development Session in collaboration with Prevail, Inc's Lunch & Learn Series - NOV 2020
  • Certified CORE 40 Sexual Assault Victim Advocate, Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault & Human Trafficking (ICESAHT) - Issued MAR 2020
  • Served on Butler University President James Danko's "Presidential Commission on Sexual Assault" - 2014-2015
  • Event Producer* in coordination with V-Day "V-Day Butler University" benefiting The Coburn Place, 2009-2011, Actor/Fundraiser
  • Event Producer* in coordination with V-Day "V-Day Indianapolis" benefiting The Coburn Place, 2012-2013, Actor/Fundraiser/Production Crew
  • Event Producer* in coordination with V-Day "V-Day Noblesville" benefiting Prevail of Hamilton County, Inc., 2014-2020, Lead Director/Producer

*With 10 years of annual events with the V-Day organization, my participation ranged year-to-year depending on organizational needs. Everything from designing merch, online fundraising campaigns, the background "boring admin" stuff, and performance has been a part of this long-term commitment. My final year culminated with casting, directing, and fully producing a gender-inclusive run of our show, including LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and disabled performers. It was one of the greatest responsibilities I've been privileged to be a part of while working with V-Day.
