With five years of experience in the restaurant industry, I've gained a lot of insight that has helped me in my current position at St. Elizabeth. As a result of accepting this job, I have been motivated to push myself within the medical field. My love for helping patients has grown even when it's just providing them with food. My view is that food plays an important role in the recovery process. In my experience, I have seen patients go from not eating to eating several times a day. The start of this job encouraged me to obtain my State Certified Nursing Assistant accreditation. It has always been my passion to help others and take care of them. St. Elizabeth has truly helped me get back on track to where I want to be in life. For years, I struggled in my education not knowing what career path to pursue. Making the decision to go back to get my nursing assistant certification was the best choice I have made. This is only the first step but I plan to keep pushing myself to get my Associates Degree in Nursing.
