Accomplishments

Successfully led the comprehensive implementation of the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program within the school’s curriculum and scheduling framework. This achievement was made possible through effective coordination and collaboration among teachers, administrators, and staff, ensuring that all stakeholders were informed and involved in the process. By fostering open communication and providing professional development opportunities, I ensured that the AVID philosophy was integrated across all grade levels, promoting a college-ready environment for students.

Utilized advanced skills in Microsoft Excel to create and maintain detailed student tracking spreadsheets for the Response to Intervention (RTI) process. This involved collecting and analyzing data on student performance, enabling educators to make informed decisions tailored to individual student needs. The spreadsheets facilitated timely interventions and supported ongoing monitoring of student progress, ultimately contributing to improved academic outcomes.

In my role as RTI Coordinator, Social Studies Debarment Chair, and AVID Coordinator, I supervised and collaborated with a team of 40 faculty members. I facilitated regular meetings to discuss instructional strategies and best practices, while also providing mentorship and support to my colleagues. This collaborative approach not only fostered a sense of community among the faculty but also enhanced the overall effectiveness of our instructional programs, leading to increased student engagement and achievement. My leadership style emphasizes empowerment and teamwork, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued in the decision-making process.
