  • Worked with a small team to design and implement a pilot guidance program for state school students interested in US study – the first in the UK
  • Was integral in designing all elements of the program, from helping with grant funding and being a member of the planning committee, to selection and working with individual students
  • Partnered with the Sutton Trust, the US Embassy in London, US high schools abroad and several public/private organizations to help select 64 out 700 bright state school students from non-privileged backgrounds for the program
  • Presented various training sessions for teachers throughout the UK to promote the program and US study more broadly
  • Travelled to the US with the 64 students to provide them with an educational and cultural experience of America and US university life
  • Monitored the success of the program by conducting surveys, compiling results and reporting on findings to ensure future improvement of each component of the project
  • Worked hand-in-hand with the Director and multi-organization Advisory Board to suggest and implement program improvements
  • Advocated for students on the phone, in-person (CIS Monaco) and over email
  • Oversaw the college choices for entire cohort of 90 students applying to US colleges
  • Saw over 100% increase in acceptances from pilot year
  • 120 students accepted into US universities accessing $26 million in funding in the first two years of program

  • Was part of a small, dynamic and busy team of advisers offering advice to students, teachers and parents in the UK interested in US study at any level
  • Travelled to all corners of the UK presenting on US study while promoting study in the US and UK, with knowledge of both systems and versed in presenting these differences
  • Selected to speak at an international conference in Budapest to fellow EducationUSA advisors on best practice for advising centers
  • Was responsible for maintaining and developing US university relations and established connections with over 100 US university admissions counsellors
  • Initiated and organized meetings with the American and international schools to work together on common aims and resource sharing
  • Coordinated USA College Day London, the largest US study fair in Europe, for two years and helped increase attendance by over 31 exhibitors and 1300 students (total attendance of 4,000 and 147 exhibitors).

  • Worked on a campaign to track the abuse of migrant domestic workers (MDW) in the UK
  • Spoke to MDWs in-person and over-the-phone, supporting vulnerable people and connecting them with permanent staff counsellors
  • Helped and supported MDWs make their own video to send to the UK government about their plight in order to give them a voice in Parliament.
