Dedicated and hardworking, with a proven 2 year track record at Fugman Elementary, I strive to excel in classroom management and instructional strategies under the guidance of the lead teacher. My experience includes enhancing student learning through creative lesson planning and ensuring safety and have complemented 160+ volunteer hours dedicated to community service through the Assistance League of Fresno. I have experience in both group and individual teaching, and I am committed to the educational growth and safety of elementary school students.
I have worked at Fugman Elementary in Kindergarten under Mrs. Enos from October 2023-June 2024. I am currently working under Ms. Ennis for 2nd grade at Fugman Elementary. I have monitored classrooms for safety and good behavior, offering students positive reinforcement to maintain discipline. I work with the classroom teacher to learn about current standards and best practices for the students. My responsibilities include working in small groups, correcting and checking off assignments, one on one reading with students, and leading in arts and crafts. Additionally, my goal is to be the best assistant to the teachers with various tasks in the classroom or the students.
Through the Assistance League of Fresno, by the time I graduate, I will have completed 160+ volunteer hours. All of the hours I have completed have been towards MLK elementary students, being an Assistance League thrift store cashier, making blankets for animal shelters, delivering trauma bears, and so much more. Additionally, working as a thrift store cashier gives me the experience that I would need if I would use that in a real job. Volunteering to me has always been such a rewarding experience. I chose to volunteer with Assisteens because I wanted to help make a difference in the world of people who need it more than I do. With Assisteens, I have learned that volunteering means to take action and to become a leader. Throughout these four years, I have learned the impact philanthropy has on a community.
I worked with 6th-8th grade students in the CTE summer school creative classes over the summer of 2024. I have participated in workshops and presentations related to projects to gain knowledge. I prepared project presentations and reports to assist staff. I have maintained overall safe work environment with employee training programs and enforcement of safety procedures.
Musical Theatre has shaped me into the person I am today and has helped me grow as a person. I have learned confidence, leadership skills, and belief in myself. I have been a part of 20 musicals and 1 play, my talents in performing have grown exponentially. Discipline and focus are at the core, but creativity, risk-taking, and imagination has led me to some of the most exciting roles of my life. Combining my love for musical theatre, I have advanced my skills by incorporating dance technique with jazz and tap classes, weekly vocal lessons, and volunteering at my community theatre. I have learned invaluable lessons and have made core memories. Without a doubt, I know musical theatre has helped me in my academic success at school, my confidence as a young woman, and will continue to be a foundation for my future success.
