Experienced Nursing Instructor with 35 years in nursing education and 43 years as a registered nurse. Promotes a positive learning environment by mentoring both faculty and students in knowledge and skill acquisition. Facilitates teamwork, respectful communication, faculty and student relations, and ongoing course review and continuous improvement.
Functions as Academic Faculty in the Pediatric and Pediatric Psychiatric Concepts Instructional Module. Presents approximately 60-70 hours of didactic content annually, including didactic evaluation through examination. Theory content includes the Pediatric Psychiatric Concepts presented in the course. Participates in approximately 300-400 hours of clinical experiences annually, specifically in the community component of the course. Continues to mentor new faculty to teaching.
