Experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to manufacture custom metal door frames ranging from 3 feet to 12 feet in width. This position requires precision MIG welding on thin-gauge materials, along with grinding and polishing to deliver a clean, finished product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and MIG weld metal door frames ranging from 3’ to 12’ wide
• Perform high-quality MIG welds on thin-gauge metals, including 14-gauge and 16-gauge
• Set up and adjust MIG welding equipment for thin material applications
• Read and interpret shop drawings, measurements, and fabrication specifications
• Grind, polish, and finish welded components to meet quality and cosmetic standards
• Inspect welds and completed frames for strength, accuracy, and appearance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all shop safety procedures and quality standards

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a MIG welder/fabricator
• Strong ability to weld thin-gauge metals without warping or burn-through
• Experience grinding and polishing welds for a finished appearance
• Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and tape measures accurately
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience fabricating door frames or architectural metal products
• Familiarity with shop tools such as grinders, polishers, and cutting equipment
• Inspected welds and checked critical measurements to meet specifications.
• Inspected pieces for defects, measured, and checked with straightedges or templates for compliance with specifications.
• Prepared welding equipment to perform advanced welding work.
• Clamped, held, tack-welded, heat-bent and bolted component parts to achieve required configurations and positions.
• Welded in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Utilized blueprints and diagrams to compare finished products against design specifications.
• Ability to lift and maneuver metal materials and fabricated components

• Optimized production line efficiency through effective roll observation for splices and changes ensuring meticulous packaging of all products as per customer specifications and company standards.
