As a farm hand I work ground and plant crops, care for cattle, preform extensive maintenance on equipment such as trucks, tractors, combines, and construction equipment. Maintenance on buildings including house hold electrical, electric motors for augers on grain bins some times requiring to climb high in the air on grain bins cat walks and boom lifts. fence repair and construction. Being a farm hand requires working long strenuous hours sometimes from 5AM until 12AM. During this time I acquired my Illinois state J51 license so I have experience driving manual semis with 43FT hopper bottom trailers. I have learned to run construction and agriculture equipment and experience with herbicides and pesticides.
As a city worker for the summer I read water and gas meters, preformed maintenance on water and gas meter's. General maintenance on equipment and facilities. This was a short employment due to the fact there schedule didn’t work out with my schooling.
