Darcy Logan

Dedicated and passionate nature-based teacher with 28 years of experience working with Early Childhood Children. I have a strong commitment to establishing effective partnerships with parents, which has proven essential in creating an inclusive and adaptable learning environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students. I am dedicated to nurturing a love of learning through play-based activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and cognitive growth. As a business owner, I effectively ran an early childhood music program. As a scout leader, I supported other leaders in the district by running a monthly training aimed at teaching skills and activities to help their meetings run smoothly. As Lead Teacher at the Outdoor Discovery Center, I have had the opportunity to lead some trainings during staff training weeks. I have also worked with others to provide Conscious Discipline training for our local Intermediate School District and the Allegan County Educational Service Agency. I assisted teachers in both Hatchlings Childcare and Little Hawks Discovery Preschool programs by supporting them in implementing Conscious Discipline strategies in their classrooms. Additionally, I coached a colleague at Little Hawks in our "coaching" program. These experiences enhanced my leadership skills and made me realize how much I enjoy supporting teachers.
