- My name is DarIel Soto, I first started working at a grocery store in the small town of Yerington, It was a very demanding job, having to stock shelves, and meet people's needs finding products. I wasn't able to move up in postions due to being 16 years of age, but that job quickly taught me the roles my leads and managers had to deal with on a day to day basis. The responsibilities of running a store and being able to delegate work between available staff. After that job I moved on to being a certified nurses assistant at the age of 18. That alone was a great challenge with a greater reward. Although that line of work was not for me it did teach me patience and empathy. The older people I had to care for helped me understand the barrier between the youth of today and the older generation, even the barrier between my coworkers because most of them were twice my age. When I turned 19 I decided to leave the hospital environment and try out different jobs. It wasn't until I turned 20 that I became a lube technician at a car dealership. I did that for about a year and it was an amazing experience. It really taught me that no matter how good you are at something, there is always more to learn from your co-works and the machines you work on. Another great thing I learned at that dealership was how essential teamwork is to a productive workplace. Now that I start working for Tesla I have come to put everything I've learned from my past jobs and experiences together and build a carrier here. Being a young father and the only one in my family currently making money I want to provide a good life for my son and wife.
