First year student at UCR's college of engineering studying for a future in Environmental Engineering and politics. Strong work ethic and ambitious, hoping to find an on campus work opportunity to pay for educational expenses and form relations across UCR. Quick learner with previous work experience always looking for new challenges and opportunity. Dedicated to working for a better future and the pursuit of knowledge to do so.
Using the experience from my last position I was able to find a similar position in product demonstration at Sam's Club under the acosta group. After learning the aspects of Acosta's retail operations and building relationships with management I was trusted with a more independent position producing fresh juice. This new position left me with a lot of new responsibilities, daily quotas and cataloging forced me to pick up some important skills like time management and proper record keeping.
Under CDS global I worked at several different Cosco retail locations promoting and sampling select products to customers. This position lead me to obtaining my California food handlers certificate but required me learning the basics of retail sales and customer engagement more than anything. As my first paid position I initially found it difficult to talk to customers daily with enthusiasm but this job formed skills that allowed me build relationships and remain professional. Sadly I didn't keep the position long due to very limited shift availability but I think the experience I gained was well worth it.
