I maintained the HRSS Personnel Records Room for 2700 employees, including creating new files for new hires, filing personnel information into the files, retiring employee files who separated from the agency. I scheduled appointments for agency staff and management to review employee's file information. I wrpte and updated procedures relating to the HRSS Personnel Records Room. I maintained the I-9 records for current and terminated employees.
I ensured TCEQ was in compliance with Public Information Requests (PIR) requirements. I responded to the PIR’s received from external & internal entities, seek approval from Legal of the information to be released, re-dak confidential information, made photocopies, typed letter and sent information to requestor. I responded to all PIRs within 10 working days.
I was the HRSS Records Retention Liaison, adhering to the established record’s retention guidelines. I prepared separated employee files to be sent to Texas State Library and for microfiche. I also maintained TCEQ’s job posting packets that are sent to the Texas State Library every six months.
I received all completed performance appraisals, reviewed and entered data into the HRSS performance appraisal database. I worked directly with agency managers and supervisors to resolve data discrepancies. I also tracked Perforamance Plans for all new hires.
