Responsibilities of an Assistant Meat Manager include: supervising subordinates on the proper procedures involved in cutting meat, holding meat cutters and their products to the highest standards possible, fulfilling orders and special requests, organization and working space efficiency, placing perishable orders and inspecting shipments as they arrive, unloading and offloading said shipments, procurement of shop supplies, careful and calculated inventory management and control, weekly and quarterly inventory counts, ensuring food safety protocols are in place and being utilized, fostering a nurturing and positive work environment, ensuring that company policies are being followed and that all safety procedures and tools are followed and in place.
Meat Cutters are responsible for the cutting and processing of fresh and frozen meat. Other responsibilities include observing all safety practices and standards, sanitation and cleaning, temperature checks, packaging and stocking, labeling inventory, and providing exemplary customer service.
Apprentice and lineman for 5 years, reaching class A status. Systems worked include WREC, FPL, PRECO, Progress/Duke Energy, and other REAs. Crew work orders consisted of conversion, re-conduct, and pole change outs. Assisted with SECO's restoration efforts after storm damages from hurricanes Frances and Jeanne.
