Other duties include, but are not limited to, furthering education on IVUE's various functionalities, cyclical inventory counts and reconciling disparities, integration of digital systems into one's daily repertoire, assisting co-workers and encouraging a sense of teamwork, operation of equipment and vehicles while maintaining an acceptable driving record, housekeeping, assuming routine step-up supervisory leadership, utilizing rural construction units/assembly units and specifications, and meeting or exceeding the demands of internal customers and vendors. Assistant Meat Manager/Lead

Responsibilities of an Assistant Meat Manager include: supervising subordinates on the proper procedures involved in cutting meat, holding meat cutters and their products to the highest standards possible, fulfilling orders and special requests, organization and working space efficiency, placing perishable orders and inspecting shipments as they arrive, unloading and offloading said shipments, procurement of shop supplies, careful and calculated inventory management and control, weekly and quarterly inventory counts, ensuring food safety protocols are in place and being utilized, fostering a nurturing and positive work environment, ensuring that company policies are being followed and that all safety procedures and tools are followed and in place.

Apprentice and lineman for 5 years, reaching class A status. Systems worked include WREC, FPL, PRECO, Progress/Duke Energy, and other REAs. Participation in numerous storm restoration efforts such as hurricanes Katrina, Wilma, Rita, Charley, and Ike, to name a few, which provided invaluable troubleshooting experience. A wide variety of line work techniques were learned and employed in various conditions and locales as well. Some of many responsibilities assigned were performing work as dictated by work orders, operation and maintenance of equipment, salvaging reusable material, directing and overseeing groundmen/equipment operators, customer/member relations, and ensuring proper work procedures and safety of self and crew.

Groundman/Truck Driver

Basic groundman duties entailed learning SECO cooperative specifications and assembly units, assembling material in preparation for installation, stocking and caring for trucks and equipment, driving said equipment plus being aware of hazards. Crew work orders consisted of conversion, re-conduct, and pole change outs. Assisted with SECO's restoration efforts after storm damages from hurricanes Frances and Jeanne.
