Having worked in our public K-12 education system for over twenty-five years, I learned firsthand how crucial effective leaders and impactful teachers can be in building resilient learning communities. From my early struggles as a teacher to the even greater challenges of a K-8 principal, my entire career has been focused on working with others to build capacity and increase impact. In my role as both a K-8 principal and as a district level administrator, I learned how important relationships are in helping others achieve. My time spent as an adjunct professor for aspiring teachers inspired me to shift my focus from administration to teacher development.
