For the first month of this job. I was a stocking crew member temporarily. The things we did consists of heavy lifting, use of pallets jacks, and etc. As the 2nd month passed by, I got moved to a setup associate. At first when I was working inside. I had to help move gondolas and counters. Take apart the gondolas and counters. Lastly, rebuild the counters and gondolas. After that I got moved to help the forklift driver outside. We'd have to empty out sometimes full trucks, take the parts up front, put the old parts either in the metal dumpster or back on the truck, and sort out the smaller parts, shelves, and decks in the big containers they sat in.
Starting out with this job we had to help build the store from the ground up for grand opening. For my specific position, I had to help unload all the footwear merchandise which consists shoes, socks, cleats, work boots, and etc. After we finished putting up the store, My job was to greet costumers as they went by my footwear department, sell credits cards if I can, zone/shift merchandise by size and price, print out new prices/clearance tags for the merchandise as well, and clean up my area by the end of the shift.
