  • Assisting the engineering staff, as directed, in maintaining, repairing, and operating the following vessel engineering systems and processes, both at sea and in port: diesel propulsion, electric generating systems, deck hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and fuel and lubrication systems.
  • Proficient in operating CAT generators, getting them online, and performing oil checks.
  • Assist the engineers with starting the main diesel propulsion engines.
  • Proficient with cutting and torching.
  • Assisted the deck department with the tie-up on 1,000-foot vessels.
