Accomplishments

  • Assisted with the start up of a Anchorage local magazine South Anchorage Hillside Living with Best Version Media. My work included being the main reporter for the magazine where I was responsible for researching and writing informational news within the Anchorage community and Hillside neighborhood. I also assisted in the first few publications in the magazine layout and ad sales process until the publication grew to support more staff. Writing samples available upon request.
  • Two years of volunteer work for a community organization created to help high school students from low income families be able to attend prom. Assisted in the implementation of the program within Anchorage then solely managed expanding it to Alaska's rural communities.
  • Over five years of experience as a volunteer assistant Drama, Debate, and Forensics (DDF) high shool coach where I established performance requirements, enforced academic requirements, and mentored each student’s participation in DDF state and national level competitions. My work was solely with the Skagway High School team located in Southeast Alaska where I traveled to and from the city, but also conducted practices virtually and served as the female chaperone on competition travels.
