Using the cerner application , my task is to take patients blood and assort them into micro , chemistry , hematology, coagulation, and lab corb departments .

Also , my task is to combine certain blood orders together ,and send out specimens to lab Corb .

• Collect adequate and correct blood specimens by venipuncture on adults, children, and infants
• Perform proper specimen collection or blood products, by confirming patient/donor ID, collecting specimens in proper tubes, utilizing venipuncture/capillary techniques, and accurately labeling the specimens/blood products to ensure accurate patient results
• Perform various quality control, safety, and infection control procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations
• Receive and process specimens as required by respective laboratory area procedures and protocols
• Participate in the distribution of specimens, supplies, and reports to the appropriate laboratory staff
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and OSHA blood-borne pathogen guidelines.

• Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel
• Perform periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment
• Preserve orders and enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises
• Control access to the client site through the admittance process
• Patrol assigned site on foot or in vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances, and exits.

• Guarded stationary posts, monitoring closed-circuit television, duress alarm systems, and other security equipment
• Provided security presence, enforcing federal and local law, and provided protection as needed
• Resourcefully and meritoriously secured assigned buildings, surrounding grounds, and all associated property
• Respond to fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, and inclement weather
• Thoroughly analyzed criminal information and processed crime scenes.

• Conducted regular patrols of key areas to spot and control security concerns
• Wrote detailed reports on property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, and unusual incidences
• Checked identification of persons entering and exiting the facility to eliminate unauthorized visitors
