Oversee operation of two, 950 megawatt each, coal-fired units, AC switchyard, and all related equipment. Manage and direct a large crew of operators, I&E technicians and mechanics. Coordinate and administer facility activities to meet company objectives and corporate policy. Develop and implement procedures and administer training programs for plant personnel to operate in a safe and cost effective manner. Monitor operations for efficiency and safety ensuring all applicable regulatory requirements are followed. Direct hiring, promotions and other personnel actions as required. Accountable for plant production objectives and establishing shift production agendas. Oversee administration of the safety lock-out procedure.
Provide direct supervision of all operating personnel within required jurisdiction covering all aspects of plant operations and maintenance. Duties included employee performance evaluations, discipline, scheduling, training, resolving complaints, day-to-day plant operation and all other related duties to lead and supervise subordinates. Work with planning and craft supervision to schedule major unit outages and daily repairs of plant equipment. Direct and monitor all phases of the lock-out clearance procedure.
