7 Months- Involved in the expansion of a ball mill at an open pit copper mine in Morenci Arizona. Connecting and bolting iron structures together for the huge ball Mills to sit on. This was the biggest job going on in the United States. It employed more than 2,700 employees.
Underground Miner/Maintenance Man
1 Year 4 Months- I operated haul trucks that brought the ore from underground to the surface to a stockpile. I also repaired and maintained the air and water lines that led underground among any other repairs that needed to be made.

2 Years- Shoeing and training horses in the state of Colorado

1 Year 8 Months- I was involved in repairs and maintenance of pump jacks in the oil fields. Making dams around the storage tanks lined with plastic in case of any spills. Fabrication of cattle panels that were used to go around the pump jacks to keep the livestock out. We also fabricated stands out of thick metal square tubing for the pump jacks to sit on.
WELDER/FITTER
1 Year 3 Months- I was involved in the fabrication of large containers made of thick stainless steel that the Canadians were using to store nuclear waste in. 75 containers were being made. My job was to fit and tack weld the inner shell that consisted of five parts. The bottom, two sides, and two ends.

2 Years 8 Months- I was involved in the repairs of a thickener tank at an open pit copper mine in Tucson Arizona. I then was sent to a gypsum mine in St George Utah to work on the construction of a red Iron building that was built for a repair and maintenance shop for the haul trucks. From there I went to Calera Alabama to work on the in pit crush conveyor system at another gypsum mine there.

5 Months- I was involved in the construction of a solar power plant on the Mojave Desert near Las Vegas Nevada. Setting piers for the solar mirrors to be mounted to. working with the survey crew making sure the piers were shot in properly, and making sure the base bolts were tightened to a specific torque.

3 Years 5 Months- I was involved in the construction of a facility in Carthage Missouri that turned turkey by-products into fatty acids. The fatty acids were then turned into diesel fuel at a refinery in Coffeyville Kansas. Extensive welding, fitting pipe, cutting, and grinding was involved.
SX OPERATOR/TECHNICIAN
8 Years 8 Months- My responsibilities involved the operation of the SX facilities at Phelps Dodge in Morenci Arizona. My duties included keeping logs of the SX facilities Productions, and operating them at the there highest performance. Keeping logs such as mix box ratios, Gunk levels, (interface), organic depth on the settlers, entrainment, trending PLS pond levels, raffinate pond levels as well as tank levels in the tank farm. I also ran tests on the lean and rich electrolyte in order to determine the grams per liter of copper that was in each sample. Also determining the PLS and Raffinate grams per liter with the operation of the atomic absorption machine.
SX/EW Tank House Worker
1 Year 9 Months- My responsibilities were taking care of the harvesting of cathodes on a 7-Day cycle, making starter sheets, maintenance of the cells, making sure electrolyte levels were changed in the cells, addition of Mist balls, and FC100 to ensure of keeping the acid mist under control in the tank house, and keeping organic out of the cells by means of skimming.

5 Years 1 Month- My duties included repairs and maintenance of overhead cranes, conveyor belts, bucket elevators, slurry tanks, horizontal, and vertical pumps, preventive maintenance on all of the mining equipment
