As the senior account manager at Lathrop Insurance I am responsible for the risk management, renewal, servicing, and retention of most of the agencies largest and most complicated commercial customers. My insureds include chemical manufacturers, precision manufacturers whose products are utilized in public health and aeronautical contexts, large non-profits with extensive property and land holdings, life science companies, and large contractors/distributors.

• I was responsible for analysis and advocacy for all commercial lines claims in the state of Rhode Island for Cross Insurance. Responsibilities included advising insured's on whether coverage was plausible, submitting claims, shepherding insureds through the claims process, and advocating on behalf of insureds in the case of adverse coverage determinations from our carrier partners. Due to the enormously varied businesses we insured, I have extensive practical experience with claims, risk mitigation, and coverage analysis related to most types of commercial insurance, including but not limited to complicated D&O claims involving several excess layers and IVI allegations, almost any kind of liability claim including those involving faulty workmanship, and property/ business income claims on both standard ISO forms and the niche manuscript forms used on trickier business areas.

• Administered and marketed the insurance program for a large book of commercial lines business. Responsibilities included marketing, day-to-day servicing, contract analysis, as well as risk management and coverage review. My largest clients were a pseudo-public entity responsible for waste removal/recycling and a national supplier of organic produce.

• Enhanced customer satisfaction by efficiently managing commercial lines accounts and promptly addressing client inquiries.

• Streamlined policy renewals, mostly biotech and software start-ups, for timely processing, ensuring continuous coverage for clients.

• Took customer service calls in the lawyers division. Eventually, began managing the renewals for smaller law firms (1 - 3 attorneys). Was responsible for maintaining continuous coverage, and documenting that any lapses were not the fault of Aon Affinity.
