Accomplishments

I was offered the opportunity to work with Delta Propel CFII cadets. I was selected for this role due to the workload and complexity of the assignment. The students had not yet completed any required check rides, and their foundational knowledge needed significant reinforcement. With only 10 hours each of ground, simulator, and flight instruction time, the task was demanding. Through close collaboration with mentors and the development of a structured, strategic training plan, I successfully guided all four cadets through the required preparation and submission process. This experience was both challenging and rewarding, strengthening my instructional skills, adaptability, and ability to manage high-pressure training situations effectively.

Successfully mentored and soloed a student pilot with over 100+ flight hours by providing individualized instruction, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and supporting the student’s confidence and progress despite social and personal challenges.”

Work History

Phoenix East Aviation
Daytona Beach, Florida

Certified Flight Instructor
09.2024 - 09.2025

Job overview

In 2024, I completed my flight training at Phoenix East Aviation (PEA) and was subsequently hired as a Certified Flight Instructor. From September 2024 to September 2025, I provided high-quality, student-centered instruction focused on safety, adaptability, and individual learning styles. I became known for my dedication, passion, and ability to tailor lessons to meet each student’s unique needs. Within three months into instructing, I was entrusted to conduct progress reviews, reflecting the confidence my peers and supervisors had in my instructional ability. I had the privilege of working with students who had transferred from other schools and were considering leaving the program due to scheduling or training challenges; through a structured and supportive approach, I helped two of these students complete their Private Pilot certificates under Part 61 in less than a month. They both continued with me for subsequent instrument and Commercial trainings. I also trained and soloed a student with over 100 hours of flight time and was honored to help several struggling students achieve their first solo flights by strengthening their confidence and landing proficiency. My experience at PEA reinforced my passion for teaching and commitment to developing safe, skilled, and confident aviators.

In May 2025, I was offered the opportunity to work with Delta Propel CFII cadets who were transferred to Phoenix East Aviation’s Flagler campus after their previous school experienced training delays and performance challenges. I was selected for this role after two instructors had resigned due to the workload and complexity of the assignment.

I had the privilege of serving as a Ground School Instructor at Phoenix East Aviation (PEA), where I conducted three full ground school courses. It was an incredibly rewarding experience that allowed me to strengthen my instructional skills and connect with students in a structured classroom environment. I was invited by the Ground School Coordinator to continue teaching additional sessions; however, I was unable to do so due to my commitment to the Delta Propel cadet training assignment at the time.
