• I respond to a wide variety of calls, such as car crashes, chemical spills, flooding, water rescue, medical aid, structure fires and wild land fires.

• I minimize fire damage by responding to incidents; driving and operating equipment; regulating water pressure; combating and extinguishing fires.

• I maintain operations by following policies and procedures. I also maintain technical knowledge by attending educational courses; studying publications; participating in scheduled drills.

• I am a certified firefighter, actively working up as an engineer department wide gaining great exposure and experience.

• Operating as a FireFighter 1 for Cal Fire, constantly training in vehicle extrication, hose & ladder evolutions to forcible entry & roof ventilation.
• Wildland fire training in hose lay, mobile attack, WUI, & packaging patients into stokes basket for hoist operations.
• Responded to vehicle accidents, medical aids, structure & wildland fires, house boat fires on lakes, swift water rescues, along with identifying any hazardous incidents.
• Assisting the company officer with mapping & navigating the crew to the incident, pumping & or operating the engine under supervision in a safe & defensive manner.

• As a lead FireFighter with a radio & ICT5 task book, I would manage a short squad to assist in building fire control line as the main objective was to pinch and flank the perimeter of the fire by utilizing direct attack method when possible. Tasked with directing helicopter water drops for fire suppression, small scales back burns, to driving defensively with 10 crew members on board.
• While conducting the role of a "look out" i slung weather, observed fire behavior & communicated information by radio. Utilizing my knowledge of weather & topography to anticipate hazardous changes in the fire environment. Tools i used, belt weather kit, kestrel, IAP, & IRPG.
• With 4 season total i worked threw the roles of an entry level scrape to swamper, sawyer, to a lead firefighter.

• Gathered information through research and vendor inquires to provide accurate job estimates, processed cash and credit card payments.
• Investigated & resolved customer inquiries/complaints in a timely empathetic manner. Served as a liaison between the customer & management. Reviewed work orders to ensure accuracy for invoicing & warranty.

• Performed all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Performed preventative maintenance, such oil changes, brakes, coolant flush to basic computer diagnostics.
• Inspection & repairs on engine accessories, suspension, & drive train.
• Welding, torching to fabricate any part necessary.
• Assisted senior technician with engine rebuilds.
