Dave Clark is a seasoned detective with the Dallas Police Department, where he has worked since 1998. During his tenure he has gained experience working within various units to hone his investigation skills. He is currently assigned to the Child Exploitation Unit where he has worked for the past 15 years. This unit has provided Detective Clark with experience working hundreds of cases related to sex crimes related to children. As a skilled detective, over the years he has led several high-profile investigations involving serial rapists and child predators.
Involved in the prosecution of over 2,000 child exploitation cases.
Led several long term investigations involving high profile organizations resulting in the prosecution of several individuals and the changing of how those organizations respond, react, and report cases of child abuse.
Worked in an undercover capacity to locate and prosecute those engaged in prostitution, human trafficking, gambling and engaging in organized crime.
Engaged in several long term investigations collecting evidence, maintaining surveillance, and making arrests to collect evidence to assist in the prosecution of those engaged in illegal activities
Led several operations that led to the rescue and recovery of Human Trafficking victims and the prosecution of their traffickers.
Was awarded the Guardian award in 2024 for his work in combatting Human Trafficking
Proficient leader who currently trains and oversees the Child Exploitation detectives of Dallas Police Department, Maintains and assigns cases of Child Exploitation daily, Assists Child Exploitation detectives with questions on case management, prosecution reports, search warrants, interviews, etc., Skilled interviewer and investigator with experience conducting over 500 interviews of children and 700 child abuse investigations, Advocate for continued education with participation in over 200 hours of Child Abuse/Exploitation training, Familiarity with court procedures and has testified in over 30 court proceedings, Knowledgeable presenter with professional presentations include the Crimes Against Children Conference Dallas (Dallas, TX 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022, 2025) and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (Atlanta, GA 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022) and the Wyoming Joint Symposium on Children and Youth (Cheyenne, WY 2018, 2023, 2024, 2025) and the Florida Krimes Against Kids Conference (Orlando, Fl 2019 and 2020, 2023, 2024, 2025); Connecting for Children’s Justice Conference (Franklin, TN, 2022, 2024); Virginia Crimes Against Children Conference; International Symposium on Child Abuse (Huntsville, TN, 2023, 2024, 2025)
